Junior Section Do The Double!
The A Team won the District Knockout Cup on Saturday 2nd May!
The event was held at Glasgow Green, where the A team played 5 games without conceding a goal.
The boys played exceptionally well, beating the 167 in the final to secure the trophy for the 5th year a row! Well done boys!

The deciding match of the 08/09 league campaign (against the 167) was played in front of the biggest crowd of the season.
Parents and friends from both teams gave tremendous encouragement to the boys.
Midway through the first half the 167 took the lead after a mix up in the 44
defence, but Jordan managed to level things up a few minutes before the half time break with a great angled strike from just inside the box.
In the second half the 44 started to dominate the match and two goals in two minutes (one from
Jordan and an own goal) gave the A team a slight cushion.
The 167 started to attack more often, and Connor had to make a fantastic save to keep the score at 3-1.
In the final 5 minutes the 167 threw more players forward and Jordan took full advantage of some gaps in the 167 defence with two well taken goals to make the final score 5 - 1.
This is the first time in 3 years the A Team have won the league! We now look forward to the Knockout Cup on 25th April at the Glasgow Green Complex.
